IIA-Australia is the pre-eminent professional body for Internal Audit, Governance, Risk, and Controls Assurance (GRC) professionals in Australia.

As the local chapter of the global Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA Inc.), representing over 260,000 professionals worldwide, they serve as a powerful local and global resource. Established in 1952 (1941 globally), the IIA is the global leader in professional standards, certification, education, and technical guidance for the internal auditing profession.

Their purpose is to be the centre for knowledge, collaboration, and recognition for the profession. We support our 3,000 Australian members—working across internal auditing, risk management, and governance—by delivering advocacy, career learning, and tools, all while upholding the profession's core values of integrity, objectivity, confidentiality, and competency.
