40 Years of Trust: 

 Governance, Security & Assurance in a Digital World

The ISACA Canberra Chapter welcomes all submissions from presenters for the 2025 annual conference to be held at QT Canberra on November 7th, 2025. The call for papers closes at midnight on May 31st. 

There are three streams running concurrently throughout the day which are:

  1. Leadership, Strategy & Culture
  2. Security, Technology & Data
  3. Governance, Risk & Assurance 

Speaking at the conference gives you opportunities to:

Presentation Formats

EXPERT INSIGHTS

Expert Insight sessions held in the Main Hall, feature thought leaders delivering in-depth perspectives and actionable strategies on critical industry themes.



PANEL DISCUSSIONS

Our panel discussions, held in the Main Hall, feature diverse experts offering varied perspectives on key topics, ensuring a well-rounded and insightful conversation.



BREAKOUT SESSIONS

Held in dedicated Breakout Rooms and led by one or two presenters, these sessions encourage greater interaction, making them ideal for collaborative discussions, research, and audience-driven conversations.

Submitting Papers

Papers can be submitted for consideration by submitting your abstract via our Presentation Portal by midnight on July 20th 2025. Submissions should include:

  • Title: A concise and descriptive title of the paper (Max 50 words).
  • Topic: The specific track or key focus area of the session.
  • Abstract: A brief summary of the session, (Max 250 words).
  • Presenter Bio: A brief biography of the presenter's professional background (Max 200 words).
  • Bios for any Co-Presenters: As above, however please limit to 150 words.
  • Presentation Format: Identify which of the three session types above suits your presentation.
  • Contact Details: Phone number and any relevant social media links.

Please note:​

  • No vendor sales pitches will be approved.
  • All topics must provide genuine value to our members.
  • We welcome experiential learning sessions that encourage interaction and practical takeaways.

What Happens With My Submission?

Assessment of submissions for the conference involves a structured and fair evaluation process. Submissions will be assessed by multiple reviewers on a judging panel based on the following criteria:

  • Relevance: How well does the paper align with the conference themes and topics?
  • Originality: Does the paper present new ideas, methods, or findings?
  • Quality of Research: Are the research methods sound and appropriate? Is the analysis thorough and accurate?
  • Clarity: Is the submission well-written and easy to understand? Are the arguments and conclusions clearly presented
  • Significance: Does the submission make a significant contribution to the field?
  • Diversity: For panels only, has a diverse panel been selected?

Feedback on submissions will be provided no later than two weeks after the CFP closes. 

Note that ISACA Canberra will not be responsible for supporting any costs such as travel or accommodation incurred by presenters. All presenters will be provided with free access for the entirety of the conference.
